About
Yuxuan Liu is currently working as a Research Associate in school of Engineering at the Cardiff University. He holds a B.S. in Energy and Power Engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2016) and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the Northeastern University (2018). He worked as a Research Assistant in Lille Fluid Mechanics Laboratory at CNRS (2020). He completed a D.Phil. at the University of Oxford (2020-2024). His study included data-driven modelling, numerical fluid simulation using ‘Basilisk’ and the application of deep learning method to surface wave breaking problem. His current research centres on optimising tidal range schemes in the UK, with a focus on the optimal control of tidal range lagoons, shallow water simulation of UK estuaries, and assessing the potential environmental impacts.
