Singapore Institute of Technology
About
Farzin Samsami, holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, where his research focused on coastal engineering. In his current role, he is working as a research fellow at the Singapore Institute of Technology and is engaged in an innovative project focused on advancing our understanding of storm surges in the Singapore area. His expertise is further enriched by international experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate under the EPSRC project at the Institute for Infrastructure and Environment, Heriot-Watt University, where he focused on the dynamics of mixed sediments. Farzin also served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Florida, contributing to the Suisun Bay Wave Study, and conducted research on wave-current-mud interactions while at Waseda University. With over a decade of experience in coastal and estuarine processes, hydrodynamic modeling, and sediment transport, he has led various projects focused on coastal and environmental preservation, as well as sustainable coastal and marine development.
