Led the accreditation team from 2014 to 2019 at Sultan Qaboos University to successfully obtain ABET accreditation for the Civil Engineering program until 2025. Organized two international conferences at Sultan Qaboos University in the capacity of Chair of the Scientific Committee and served as a member of local organizing committee for another three international conferences Received postdoctoral fellowship by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in 2003, 2007, and 2022. Received Visiting Researcher fellowship at Tohoku University in 2006, 2010, and 2015. Received the Young Engineer award from the Association of Researchers in Tohoku Region, Japan in 1995. Reviewed research papers for international journals and conferences.
