Jean Jacques ‘Jacky’ Peters (Ghent, 1941) has passed away on January 22, 2012 Professor Emeritus of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Université Catholique de Louvain and Consultant in hydraulics and morphology of rivers, hydraulic structures. Jacky Peters was the first Chair of the IAHR Europe Division.
