Nahun Hamed Garcia-Villanueva is a CivilEngineer, with a Doctoratein Hydraulics, 33 years ofexperience and with 130 publications. Presently,he is the Coordinator of Irrigation and Drainage at the Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA). Editor in chief of theTechnology and Water Sciences journal; Professor at the Graduate School of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He advises several national governments inscience and technology issues related toirrigation and drainage. Past Chair of the Morelos Chapter, Mexican Hydraulics Association, and of the Iberian-American National Institutes of Research and Hydraulic Engineering Network.
