Prof. Mark Dixon is currently a biology professor of the Department of Biology and Missouri River Institute, University of South Dakota, USA, who teaches ecology, biostatistics, river studies, and landscape ecology, and does researches in landscape ecology, plant and avian ecology, riparian ecosystems, and large river ecology. He received his MS degree on wildlife biology in South Dakota State University in 1994 and doctoral degree on zoology in University of Wisconsin in 2001.
