Dr. Mike Spiliotis’ expertise lies in water resources management, hydrology and hydraulic engineering, with emphasis on decision support under uncertainty. His research focuses on fuzzy logic and fuzzy sets, multicriteria decision analysis, hybrid fuzzy–probabilistic modelling, optimization methods, reservoir operation, drought and flood risk assessment, irrigation and drainage systems, water distribution networks, river basin management, sediment transport, and the application of artificial intelligence and hydroinformatics tools in hydrological and water resources systems.
