She is also a Project Manager Professional and the Civil Engineering Leader for the Arup Madrid office, with 17 years of experience leading and managing Infrastructure engineering projects. She has provided civil, water, hydrology, and hydraulic expertise at the planning, design, and construction phases for many international civil and river engineering projects. Currently, she is the River basin Leader for the Peru Reconstruction Program, a portfolio of fluvial projects that compraises the design and construction of riverbank defences in 17 different Peruvian rivers. Almudena has managed projects in Spain, Ireland, UK, Panama, Peru and Colombia, always leading international complex projects and multidisciplinary teams, so her experience enables her to attain a high level of technical expertise in many types of engineering projects and consultancies.
