Dr. Srineash is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. With a strong academic foundation, he completed his M.S. (by research) and Ph.D. from the Department of Ocean Engineering at IIT Madras. He is an active researcher in the domain of coastal and ocean engineering. His expertise lies in wave structure interaction studies, hydrodynamics, coastal engineering, offshore engineering, and ocean renewable energy. Dr. Srineash has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field of ocean engineering. He is the recipient of the prestigious "Rising Star Award" from the Journal of Marine Environmental Engineering in 2023 and the AUA Scholars Award in 2024. Prior to joining IIT Bombay, he served as a Senior Project Officer at the National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts (NTCPWC), a technology arm under the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. Dr. Srineash has a rich international experience. He was a visiting researcher at the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, Italy, under the Marie Curie fellowship from September 2017 to December 2017. He has also served as a visiting professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Norway (during 2024) and the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School in China (during 2024), further strengthening his global academic network. He is a member of several international associations, including IAHR, RINA, IEI, INAE, ASCE, IWA, and ISH. His contributions to the field are evident through his role as a reviewer for numerous international journals. Dr. Srineash has been instrumental in guiding undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students in the areas of hydrodynamics and ocean engineering.
