About
He got the PhD degree in Environmental Engineering from Gunma University of Technology, Japan in 2001. He is now the associate Professor of Environmental Chemistry/Engineering of Addis Ababa University and the Director of the African Centre of Excellence for Water Management (ACEWM). He won the Outstanding Achievement Award in Applied Research (2013), The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ministry of Science and Technology and the Distinguished Lectureship Series Award, College of Natural Science, Addis Ababa University (2014) for the Invited Lecture on “Fluoride Mitigation Options: Challenges and Opportunities. Feleke does research in Nanotechnology, water quality, water management, water and wastewater treatment. Their current project is 'Africa Center of Excellence for Water Management'.
