Dr. Samuel Ukpong Okon is a seasoned researcher and educator with a strong academic and research background in ocean science and engineering. He holds a M.Sc in Physical Oceanography from Bangor University, UK, and a PhD in Ocean Engineering from Zhejiang University, China. With over a decade of research and teaching experience in the Department of Marine Sciences at Akwa Ibom State University, Dr. Sam has made significant contributions to the field through his academic work and collaborative research. He completed three years of a joint postdoctoral research program at the Suzhou Industrial Technological Research Institute and Ocean College of Zhejiang University. His dedication to academic excellence is reflected in his numerous scholarship and fellowship awards. Dr. Sam uses laboratory experiments and numerical simulations to investigate how large-scale geophysical flows collide in estuaries and oceans.
