About
I am an Environmental Scientist specializing in eco-hydrology, geomorphology, and environmental flow management, with a focus on dam impacts on tropical river systems. I hold a PhD in Environmental and Geographical Sciences from the University of Nottingham Malaysia, where my research developed environmental flows for the Baleh River in Sarawak, integrating field data collection with hydrological and geomorphological modelling to inform sustainable dam operations. Currently, I am a Research Fellow at National University of Singapore, conducting research at the intersection of remote sensing, GIS, and ecological modeling to develop technology-driven methods for accurately estimating above-ground carbon stocks in Southeast Asia. My work involves publishing scholarly papers, mentoring students, and organizing seminars on sustainable development. Previously, as a Research Associate at Verisk Singapore, I assisted in developing catastrophe modelling, conducted post-disaster surveys, and risk analysis to support disaster management.
