Abstract: The paper reports initial findings of experimental studies on flow in two-stage meandering channel with mobile bed. The experiments were conducted at the Flood channel Facility (FCF), HR Wallingford and Loughborough University. An investigation consists of channel bed forms, sediment transport rates and secondary flow generation mechanisms for shallow overbank flow.
