Abstract: River channel confluences form important morphological elements of every river system. In this paper, on the basis of previous studies, the evolutions of flow-sediment on siltation and erosion characteristics at channel confluence with different confluence patterns were studied. Research results showed that, the characteristic of flow-sediment movement at channel confluence between the scour test and deposit test was in substantial agreement same with the condition of same confluence angle and same sand-feeding, but the channel morphology at channel confluence which strongly depended on the flow and sediment conditions from the tributary and the relationship between main and tributary rivers, as far as hydraulic factors were concerned was very different.
