Abstract: There is some sulfur dioxide in the experiment exhaust gas of a laboratory, which will diffuse in and pollute surrounding atmosphere when it is let out. The fluid simulation software FLUENT is applied in the subject under discussion to calculate the diffusion in surrounding atmosphere caused by exhaust gas. The sulfur dioxide diffusion of three different wind velocities under two directions of North and West and static wind condition were simulated. Then, visualization software was used in the processing work of calculated results to get the impact assessment of exhaust gas by wind direction and wind speed and for further study of the diffusion law of exhaust gas. In the end sulfur dioxide concentration and air quality of the umgebungsluft was get. We used this conclusion to evaluate the impact of the first floor laboratory on fitness of people working and study around. Some conclusion was get as explained in the following section. Wind of West direction and North direction has different influence on the diffusion of exhaust gas. With the increasing of wind speed the indoor flow field became complex and the indoor air renew rapidly the concentration of pollutants decreased. The pollution of indoor air under static condition is well below that under wind conditions.
