Abstract: This study applies a water quality model Lake2K on the Dan Reservoir in Central China. The Dan Reservoir is part of the Danjiangkou Reservoir, which is the head water of South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project. After calibrated for diffusivity, the model prediction on temperature matches well with the long-term average temperature data. This preliminary study sets up a modeling framework, which can be further improved when more data is available.
