Abstract: CaCl2 solution (0. 1 mol·L-1) was used as the extractant to desorb vanadium in the polluted bentonite. First-order dynamics equation, Elovich equation, and double-constant equation were employed to describe the desorption process. The desorption amount within 30 min reached 89. 5% of the vanadium equilibrium concentration, so the desorptive behavior of vanadium in the polluted bentonite was a rapid reaction. After 120min, the desorption efficiency of vanadium was 51. 6% and the reaction reached equilibrium. Double-constant equation was the best model to describe the desorption kinetic of vanadium, Elovich equation was the second, and the worst was first-order dynamics equation. The desorption velocity of vanadium in the polluted bentonite decreases with increasing duration of desorption, and increases with increasing water turbulence.
