Abstract: A theoretically new and high efficient Eulerian-Lagrangian Method based on streamline (ELMBS) is developed to solve the multidimensional advection-diffusion equation. To obtain accurate results with little mass error, a few streamlines are required to serve as the characteristic lines in positioning the fluid particles. This method discretizes advection efficiently by interpolation from streamlines rather than time consuming tracking as common Eulerian-Lagrangian Methods usually adopt. Preliminary implementation without streamlines calibration process for mass conservation gives a proof for its feasibility and needs to be improved.
