Abstract: In this paper, a new method of river discharge measurement based on particle image acquisition is proposed. Discharge monitoring station for discharge automatic measurement has been set in river channel. The station with solar power supply used 3G/4G/Beidou satellite to transfer data. The image of river surface flow field is collected, and the surface ripple and floating matter of natural channel is used as a tracer, then the flow discharge is calculated by the water level combined with the section topography.
