Abstract: It is an attempt to search the feasibility of storing freshwater in a flexible container on the sea by experimental studies in this paper. The influence of obstruction-effect on the movement rate of the interface between salt and fresh water is explored. Mixing characteristics of freshwater with saltwater across an obstruction-film of fibre-cloth is observed.
