Abstract: In this paper, had the aid of research thinking of constitutive law of solid mechanics, constitutive law of generalized shear stress and generalized shear strain which related to viscosity is established by defining generalized shear stress and generalized shear strain of viscous fluid flow. The aforesaid constitutive law is applied to solve the Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations. Numerical example shows that stability and convergence of this method are good and reasonable velocity field can be obtained using this method. It is particularly important that the research method in this paper provides a forthright and feasible train of thought for theoretical study of stress-strain model of turbulent flow.
