Abstract: This work deals with the analytical investigation of seawater intrusion in inclined coastal aquifers. The analysis of the problem is one-dimensional and takes into account both the region with the seawater intrusion and the neighboring region of fresh water. The horizontal flow assumption and the Ghyben-Herzberg approximation are assumed to be valid. When the piezometric height in some distance from the seaside is known, the length of seawater intrusion can be predicted. Results are computed analytically and are presented graphically in easy-to-use non-dimensional plots.
