Abstract: Once upon a time there were two hydrogeologists. One, Peter Practical was interested primarily in the practical applications of the discipline and the other, Theodore Theoretical, in the more theoretical research issues. One afternoon they happened to both be present at a cocktail and dinner party hosted by Walter Wizard, local historian, clairvoyant and all-round visionary.
