Abstract: A three-dimensional stochastic groundwater flow model which incorporates the effects of hydraulic conductivity, head, and mean flow direction velocity measurements has been developed. Velocity field realizations are generated directly, eliminating the computationally demanding need to solve the flow equation. The model's usefulness as an aid in site investigation and regulatory compliance is demonstrated. In our simulations, velocity and hydraulic conductivity measurements provide better flow field estimates than head measurements. Estimates of the flow field, tracer transport paths, and travel times improve as the measurement density is increased.
