Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present an application of stochastic inverse modeling for the computation of means and variances of logtransmissivities and piezometric heads of a semi-confined fractured aquifer located in the North-eastern region of Portugal. The work is based on the methodology presented in Rubin et al. (1990), for the Rio Maior aquifer, in Portugal, and in the study published by Lobo-Fereira and Leitao (1991) for the Bagueixe aquifer.
