Abstract: Two different hydraulic conductivity data sets, one based on tedious sieve analyses of aquifer material and the other one from quick borehole flowmeter measurements, are used to independently simulate the transport within a forced gradient tracer test. A stochastic modelling approach is used in order to account for the aquifer par ameter uncertainty. The aim is to test the transport predictions based on the two different investigation techniques. The comparison suggests that the quick flowmeter measure- ments can be used successfully instead of time consuming investigation methods.
