Abstract: The nitrogen isotope values of nitrate were analyzed at six groundwater basins to examine the land use effect on groundwater chemistry and to discriminate nitrate sources to groundwater. The results show that the threshold value of nitrogen isotope value in groundwater between residential and agricultural areas takes 7~8‰and the nitrogen isotopic composition can be a qualitative land use indicator.
