Widlths, Slopes and Bank Stability of Channels in Regime

Abstract: A new regime theory is introduced based on the behaviors of widths, slopes, and bank stability of stable fluvial channels. Five controlling relationships are selected to derive a set of rational regime equations for widths, depths, slopes, sediment transport discharges and velocities. Based on the bank stability category, six bank stability index are employed to modify the calculated widths and depths The new regime equations are tested with 86 set observed data:
