Abstract: In fluvial rivers, pile dikes are effective as river training structures. They are used to retard the near-bank flow and protect the river banks, or be used in flood plains to get a balance of lateral sediment transport and maintain channel width not to be changed. Therefore, it is practically meaningful to study the mechanism of flow in open channels with pile dikes.
