Abstract: The study of natural convection in enclosures has mainly been devoted to the classical Rayleigh- Benard problem (hot bottom wall and cold top wall) and also to the case of a square cavity with one vertical wall heated and the opposite cold. However, in a variety of engineering applications enclosures are inclined to the direction of gravity. Hence buoyancy forces have both components relative to the walls of the enclosure which modify strongly the flow structure and the heat transfer inthere.
