Abstract: Hydraulic cyelones are widely applied in the many industries for classificating 1iquid-solid suspensions. They have many asvantages due to simplicity of geometrical construction and a1so driving operation. Up to this time many papers concerning the empirical and theoretical equations of the pressure drop ΔPc and the cut-size Xc corresponding to the particle that goes 50% into the sedimentation chamber and 50% to the over- f1ow were pub1ished.And a1so the theory and practice for various types of the hydro-cyclones about separation processes was described.
