Abstract: Sluice gate in cold area should not be beard ice static pressure. In order to ensure gate in a safe state, prevent ice on the gate static pressure caused by the destruction of the freezing expansion and the impact of the drift ice damage, eliminate hidden dangers of accidents diseases, some measures to prevent ice hazards must be taken effectively. These measures, such as submersible, compressed air bubble, digging ditch ice, manual icebreaking, and so on, are used to make ice away from the gate, and take much human, material resources and times every year. In this paper, about prevent ice hazards on reservoirs and barrages in Liaoning areas of our country is investigated. The reasonable comparison on technical features and investment conditions of different measures are analyzed. The new measures for prevent ice hazards are proposed and used for reference to engineering management department.
