Abstract: This invited lecture is divided into two parts; in the first part Ice Forces on Structures are being discussed as they have changed over the years by prediction, fortunately not in reality. In the second part the Northern Sea Route as an example for development, climate change effects and oil transport demand from the Russian Arctic to world market addresses Marine Arctic Transport.
