Abstract: Home and foreign recommendations on determining ice loads imposed on multi-legged structures are considered, a refined method of calculating the loads mentioned is suggested. Proceeding from calculations of ice loads acting on a four-legged platform typical for the oil production field in Cook Inlet, prospects of the construction of multi-legged platforms in Russian arctic regions, in particular on the North-eastern shelf of Kolguev Island are estimated.
