Abstract: Many rockfill spur dikes and closure dams are built to improving the condition for shipping at SanXin shool of SongHua River. l. Dcating in cold climate zone, the hydraulic structures for training work is damaged gravely by river ice. Forces and the degree of harm between river ice and the rockfill dike are studied, and make it clear the main force and its degree. The theoretical design basis for finding an efficient and economic measures of preventoin ice is afforded.
