Abstract: The problem of ice damage to railway bridge piers, beams, abutments, road foundations, tunnels is serious. The frozen problem during construction period is aiso serious. Counter-measures to the ice problem and frozen problem mentioned above are discussed. The way to control the construction quality against frozen is also discussed.
