Abstract: The existing offshore oil / gas fields in winter production in the Bohai Gulf all confronted with sea ice problems in every years. The application of sea ice management system for the winter production in these fields is discussed in the paper on the subsidiary topics as: the application of sea ice management for various types of offshore structures and different ocean-geographical vegions in the Bohai Gulf, the skeleton of the system, monitoring and forecasting of the sea ice condition and the offshore structural behaviors, and database.
