Abstract: The safe operation of the diversion power station mainly depends on the ice sluicing in winter. Making use of the flow characteristics to sluice ice at the river bend is a proposed measure. The efficiency of ice stuicing is affected by many factors, such as hydrology, weather, planning, design and construction of the structure, as welt as administration quality. A recommended layout of the ice sluicing structure is provided as a reference for similar structure design.
