Abstract: This paper synthesizes all the methods and conditions of utilizing model experiments to solve the engineering ice problems in Baishan. Lianhua, Songjianghe hydroelectric power stations in northeast region. Tianqiao and Wangjiazhai water resources projects at the Yellow River. Shankouand Yasidun water resources projects in Xinjiang and discusses the scope of application and careful treatments in utilizing model experiments to sol ve engineering ice problems with similarity of ice movement and engineering experiences.
