Abstract: A mechanics of interaction between the fast ice and stamukhas in Baidara Bay in spring is considered. Some features of this interaction has been revealed by means of measuring ice stresses, motions of stamukha's blocks and variations of the sea level. During the tide ice loading on a stamukha could be as high as 0.39 MN/m.
