Abstract: We are the only group in Taiwan to do the low temperature study on construction method and its structural analysis. We have successfully designed and supervised a 175m depth ventilation shaft construction for railway tunnel in southern Taiwan. This is a first construction site ever use artifical ground freezing method in Taiwan. Now we have turned to a construction site in Kaohsiung harbor area which is one of the largest container harbors in the world. We hope this study will solve the ground water and pollution problems as well as choosing an economic and safety construction method.
