Abstract: Author's experimental research and the summarizing the data found in references show that polycrystalline ice displays the properties of elasticity, viscosity and elastic afteraction. The rheological model is recommended; the rheological equation of state of the model material was obtained. Using the recommended model, the problem of the stressed state of the ice shell under the changing temperature was solved theoretically. Mechanical properties of ice are assumed to depend on temperature. Numerical values of these properties were found experimentally; they change due to the thickness of ice shell. Rheological model can be useful in solving various problems.
