Abstract: This paper investigated the flexural properties of eastern Bohai one-year sea ice. At first, the influence of stress-rate on flexural strength was discussed and the relation between flexural strength and stress-rate was obtained. Then this paper determined the elastic constants under different ranges of stress-rate for eastern Bohai sea ice. This research work provides a useful parameter for the design of the petroleum platform on the Bohai Sea area and has practical significance for revealing the behavioural regularity of sea ice.
