Abstract: A series of penetration tests with columnar models have been carried out. Probabilistic analyses of ice load data are made. Data show good agreement with the Weibull distribution. Probabilistic characteristics of ice load behaviours are expressed by the parameters in the Weibull function. Ice loads on a multi-legged structure is described. Probabilistic considerations show possibility of ice load reduction which is not expected by deterministic methods.
