Abstract: Full scale measurements on ice-induced vibrations of bottom-founded lighthouses and channel markers are described. During the winter 1987-1988,29 events of severe vibration were recorded on a channel marker. Basic features of these data are shown and a few remarks on the implications of the results are made.
