Abstract: Since 1972, Bohai Oil Corporation has designed, constructed and installed two platforms with deep setting foundation which are equipped with mud suction-drainage system for Bohai Gulf. This paper will put the emphasis on description of the design, installation and use of the mud suction-drainage system. The structural pattern of foundation and its selection are discussed also in the paper.
