Abstract: The paper deals with ice jam at Hequ section on the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the law of variation of river stage, based on data of prototype measurements observed in the past four years. Analysis has been made on physical factors etc related to changes in condition of ice jam, though preliminarily. Some of the problems concerned with such which may be of interest have been treated. Relevant researches are now being carried out and will continue in the next few years.
