Abstract: One of the important tasks of an ice interaction is the problem of laboratory tests of ice-resistant models of offshore structures, where the techniques for determining model ice strength is of primary importance. The results of laboratory tests made in the Hamburg Ice Model Basin (HSVA) for evaluating of model ice strength with the help of so-called Brinelle probe are given in this paper.
