Abstract: Investigations were made to study experimentally and analytically the evolution of self-formed sediment beds, flow depth, and bed slopes stream channels with an ice cover under aggrading hydraulic conditions in open channel flow such as occurring in rivers, reservoirs and lakes. The solution of problems involving the transportation of solids in channel flow requires the use of a flow resistance equation in conjunction with a solids transport formula with due regard to the bed geometry.
