Opening of Engineering Graduate Education of Japanese Universities to Developing Countries

Abstract: A new approach of Japanese universities in the field of highereducation support for developing countries is to open doors for foreignstudents from these countries.In order to open doors,it is necessaryto implement the following three things at the same time.They are;(1)to keep the highest standard in teaching and research,(2)to useEnglish as a common language,and(3)to increase the total number ofscholarships.In the followings,civil engineering education atgraduate level will be taken as an example and will be described indetails.
